IMU CET 2018 is the entrance test conducted by the Indian Maritime University for admissions to the various course in Nautical Sciences and Marine Engineering.

IMU CET 2018 Participating Institutes:

• School of Nautical Studies
• School of Marine Engineering
• School of Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering
• School of Maritime Management
• School of Maritime Law

IMU CET 2018 Programmes available at its schools with Eligibility:

I. School of Nautical Studies (SNS):

1. DNS course leading to B Sc Nautical Science  available at Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Kochi, Kandla Port  campuses
2. BSc Nautical Science available at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata
3. BSc Maritime Science available at Mumbai

Eligibility for all UG programmes:  Candidate must have passed 10+2 / equivalent with a minimum of 60% in PCM & 50% in English

II. School of Marine Engineering (SME):

1. B.Tech (Marine Engineering) available at Chennai, Kolkata Eligibility:  Candidate must have passed 10+2 / equivalent with a minimum of 60% in PCM & 50% in English
2. PG Diploma in Marine Engineering available in Mumbai, Cochin
   Eligibility: Candidate must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering / Marine Engineering and must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate.

III. School of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering (SNA):

Undergraduate Programmes:

1. B.Sc Ship Building and Repair available at Kochi
2. B.Tech Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering

 Eligibility:  Candidate must have passed 10+2 / equivalent with a minimum of 60% in PCM & 50% in English

Post Graduate/Doctoral Programmes:

1. M.Tech in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering available at Vishakhapatnam
   Eligibility: Candidate must be a Graduate Engineer in Mechanical / Civil / Aeronautical / Marine / Naval Architecture Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate.
2. M.Tech in Dredging and Harbour Engineering  available at Vishakhapatnam
   Eligibility: Graduate Engineering in Mechanical / Civil / Aeronautical / Marine / Naval Architecture or equivalent with 60% aggregate
3. PhD (Non-residential) available at Vishakhapatnam 
   Eligibility: Post graduate degree in Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture

VI. School of Maritime Management (SMM):

1. MBA Port and Shipping available at Chennai, Kochi
   Eligibility: Candidate must be a graduate with an aggregate of 50%
2. MBA Logistics available at Chennai,(and proposed at Kochi & Kolkata)
   Eligibility: Candidate must be a graduate with an aggregate of 50%
3. MBA Infrastructure available at Chennai
   Eligibility: Candidate must be a graduate with an aggregate of 50%
4. PhD in Management available at Chennai
   Eligibility: Candidate must have a Post Graduate Degree in Management or related areas with an aggregate of 50%

• *Note: MBA Infrastructure and PhD in Management are proposed courses.

V. School of Maritime Law (SML)

1. LLM (Maritime Law) available at  Chennai
   Eligibility: Candidate must be a graduate with an aggregate of 50%
2. PhD in Maritime Law (proposed) at Chennai
   Eligibility: Candidate must have a PG Degree in Law with an aggregate of 50%

IMU CET 2018 Additional Eligibility Criteria:

• Age Limit: Candidates must have been born on or after October 01, 1990 (For SC/ST/PH – the date is October 01, 1984)

• Physical Fitness:Candidate must  produce medical fitness certificates by approved doctors by DG
